Add themes into your site
The main feature of odCMS is the ease of use in using open source designs. Once you learn how to convert a design into theme it can be done in as little as ten minutes.
odCMS team has converted a number of designs where you can simply download into your site. You can do this manually or you can use the built-in function in odCMS to download them automatically. Here are the steps to do that:
- Login as admin at your main site.
- Click on Designs icon
at the bottom of the page and you should see a page of current designs listing. - Click on Add Design link and a popup window with an Add Design input form will be shown.
- Enter the name of the designer in the Designer input field.
- Enter the name of the design in the Design input field.
- ID number is not required for this operation.
- Enter the description of the design in the Description input field – the description can be found at site where the design was submitted; you can copy the description found here at this site also or you can use your own description.
- Place a check at the Google Code input field - if you use this option make sure the designer name and design name match the names used in Google Code; for example, wfiedler_xhtml_starter_kit.zip: Designer=wfiedler, Design=xhtml_starter_kit (case sensitive).
- If you have downloaded the file into your PC you can upload the file using the Zip File option. If this option is selected then you must not place a check at the Google Code input field.
- Click Add – if no errors processing your input then you should see the design added into the designs list.
